先日紹介したオーストラリアの彼ですが，オークションが終了したようです。
さて，その注目の結果とは･･･ヽ(･∀･)ﾉ♪
『Bidding closed Sunday and reached nearly $384,000 - an amount Usher said his house in the western city of Perth was worth on its own.』
ということで，50万ドルを希望していた彼にとってはとても残念な結果に。（゜-Å)
"I guess I'm a little bit disappointed at the final price, I'd hoped it to be a little higher than that, But I am committed to selling and moving on and making a fresh start."

昨年夏に世間を騒がせたこの話題，今年もその季節が近づいています。昨年の影響もあって，今年は現時点で記録的な氷の薄さとなっているのだとか。
そして全ての氷が消失するという最悪の状況を迎える確率は，恐ろしいものに･･･
『Preliminary February and March data from a NASA satellite shows that the circle of ice surrounding the North Pole is "considerably thinner" than scientists have seen during the five years the satellite has been taking pictures, NASA ice scientist Jay Zwally said Friday. He thinks there is slightly less than a 50-50 chance the North Pole will be ice-free.』

（；゜０゜）なんと，50%弱くらいの確率で全ての氷が消失すると予測している専門家もいるとのこと。もちろんこれはかなり大胆な予測ですが･･･

それでも「時間の問題」という見方が妥当なようです。
この危機を止めることができるのか･･･全てはワタシたち一人一人の地道な努力にかかっているのかもしれません。
