世界が注目、カナマラ祭り
日本のカナマラ祭りが海外で紹介されています。さてこのお祭り、皆さんご存じですか？
『Every year people from all over the world travel to the Kawamiya Hachimagu Shrine in Kawasaki, Japan to participate in a strange festival called Kanamara Matsuri or more commonly known by foreigners as "The Penis Festival."』

さて、このカナマラ祭りの起源は、以下のようなものだそうです。
『 Kanamara Matsuri is a festival held annually on the 1st Sunday of April to celebrate the vanquishing of a sharp-toothed demon that once lived inside of a young girl's private part. According to Japanese folk legend, the sharp-toothed demon living inside the girl's private part would bite off the penis of her lover if he tries to go fishing in her lake. The festival was started during the Edo Period (1603-1868) to honor a local craftsman whom fashioned the steel phallus that was used to exorcise the demon living inside her.』

そういう真面目？な神話が背景にある由緒あるお祭り。お気づきの通り、カナマラとは金属製の○○○という意味。それで悪魔を退治したそうですが、どういうふうに退治したのかは凄く気になるところ・・・。(●´ω｀●)ゞテレ
